Every 90 minutes a friend or loved one is lost through suicide in the UK.
That means the next time Bristol City, Bristol Rovers or any team up and down the country take to the pitch, when they leave it, someone has lost their fight.
With everything that’s happened in the last year and sadly, will continue to go on for the next few months at least, let’s come together and help those struggling.
That’s why we at BS3 Talk have teamed up with the incredible people at Suicide Prevention Bristol, a leading charity that helps anyone with thoughts of suicide via telephone, social media & out in the community.
We are looking to raise £350, an amount which would allow SPB to recruit a new volunteer to potentially save lives on the streets of Bristol. The cost also covers this volunteer’s training, jacket, radio, and insurance.
The volunteers at SPB patrol night and day, in hotspots that are unfortunately popular for the most vulnerable. One small intervention could save a life, and that is why providing this charity with the funds and tools they need to carry out their service is so crucial.
If you or anyone you know is struggling, the ASSISTline helpline provides an empathetic and non-judgmental space to talk.

So when you watch that next football match, please think of someone struggling and reach out.
